Record number of participants in the Michelin Le Mans Cup

The organizers of the Michelin Le Mans Cup unveiled this Tuesday March 15 the entry list for the 2022 season with a record number of participants.

Record number of participants in the Michelin Le Mans Cup

There have never been so many people for a Michelin season Le Mans Cup only in 2022. This year, no less than 43 cars will compete during the 6 rounds of the calendar of the new campaign.

In GT3, 8 cars will fight for the title at the end of the season, namely 3 Honda NSX GT3 from GMB Motorsport, 2 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo (1 for Ebimotors and 1 other for VSR), 2 Ferrari 488 GT3 from AF Corse and a Aston Martin Vantage GT3 from Bullit Racing with Frenchman Valentin Hasse-Clot among its crew members.

The busiest category will be LMP3 with a total of 34 entries, the majority of which are Ligier JS P320s. Only 7 Duqueine M30-D08s appear among the entry list. Finally, the 43e and last car will be the innovative car of the H24 Racing team running on hydrogen. Norman Nato and Stéphane Richelmi form the latter's contingent for the 2022 Michelin Le Mans Cup season.

The first round of the Michelin Le Mans Cup is scheduled for April 17 at Le Castellet.
