Behind the untouchables Toyota, the podium is still disputed among 1000 Miles of Sebring. While the No. 2 Cadillac has settled into third place, the American manufacturer has one less opponent since the Ferrari No. 51 is very damaged after a double hanging.
Alessandro Pier Guidi was a little too optimistic in traffic. The reigning LMGTE Pro world champion lost control of his prototype after hitting the #54 AF Corse of Francesco Castellacci. The 499P then crossed the track to hit the Porsche 911 RSR – 19 from Project 1 – AO. The Italian was able to restart, but left a lot of debris on the track, triggering a Full Course Yellow.
