24 Hours of Le Mans – Keating and Bleekemolen with a Ferrari 488 – Risi

Associated for several seasons in IMSA and since 2015 24 Hours of Le Mans, first in GTE Am then in LM P2, Ben Keating and Jeroen Bleekemolen will be reunited again in 2018 on the double clock tower in Sarthe.

Keating, whose Keating Motorsports team received an invitation from IMSA (via the Bob Akin Award given to the best competitor in the Pro-Am category in GTD) to enter the Sarthe this year, tied a agreement with the Texan structure Risi Competizione, and the tandem will evolve on a Ferrari 488 in GTE Am category.

“There is nothing better than racing at Le Mans and partnering with Giuseppe Risi and Risi Competizione with all their history and success, comments Keating. When we started thinking about how we wanted to compete at Le Mans this year, the idea of partnering with Risi came up and I thought it was a good fit.

We reached out and talked to Giuseppe and his team and they liked the idea and here we are. » The identity of the third pilot has not yet been revealed.

Keating and Bleekemolen, associated with Jordan Taylor in 2017 in a Riley Mk30 – Gibson LM P2 operated by Keating Motorsport, finished 20th in the category at Le Mans. The duo will compete this weekend in the 24 Hours of Daytona in GTD on a Mercedes-AMG GT3 from Riley Motorsports, alongside Adam Christodoulou and Luca Stolz.
