While alone Andre Negro had so far been confirmed in the entry list of the WEC for the 2022 season on the side ofAlpine, the French team confirmed its complete line-up this Wednesday. As expected, the French Nicolas lapierre and Matthieu Vaxiviere continue the adventure. Vice-champion in 2021, the French team will still be in the Hypercar category this season with its No. 480 A36. " The program Endurance byAlpine underlines our attachment and our ambitions in motorsport, explains Laurent Red, CEO ofAlpine. By competing both in Formula 1 and in Endurance, Alpine is one of the rare brands to be present in two FIA-labelled world championships and we will find other prestigious opponents there. Philippe Sinault's teams have my confidence with a proven track record in this discipline and numerous successes having already made the colors ofAlpine at Le Mans and on the international scene for almost ten years now. The challenge promises to be ever greater, but I am convinced that our crew will once again live up to the expectations of the brand's enthusiasts. Alpine »

“As we enter our tenth year with Alpine, we were keen to see our trio back behind the wheel of the A480 in the Hypercar category, adds Philippe Sinault, the team principal. André, Matthieu and Nicolas truly embody this project and, like us, we have done everything we can to continue our collaboration this year. We have been able to find our balance in our functioning and in our relationships, two essential elements for success. They are already imbued with the spirit of our team and it is an ideal situation, which offers us a lot of serenity and fertile foundations to take on our next challenges. Trust is already established and this will save us a lot of time. At the same time, the offseason was very short, but we worked hard to improve our package. With the arrival of new competitors in the category, the technical ingredients are likely to evolve and we have carried out immense in-depth work with the objective of making an even better copy than last year. We must be ambitious while playing among the elite, and we do our best every day to live up to this prestigious and exciting challenge. » See you in Sebring for the start of the season on March 18.
