ByKolles starts its LMH project with Dillmann and Guerrieri
No, ByKolles has not said goodbye to 24 Hours of Le Mans. Absent from the entry list this year, Collin Kolles' team is considering a return to Sarthe and to the world championship.Endurance in the new LMH premier category in 2022.
To carry out this PMC LMH project, ByKolles decided to call on two drivers, a veteran of the company, the Frenchman Tom Dillmann, and the Argentinian Esteban Guerrieri, inexperienced in Endurance.
« I have been driving for the ByKolles team for three years and I really feel at home, explains Tom Dillmann. The development of a new Hypercar for the premier category of WEC and the 24 Hours of Le Mans is a very exciting task. During my career I have been involved in the development of many different cars, most recently in LMP1 and Formula E. I look forward to bringing my experience to this project and being able to help guide it from the start ».

Esteban Guerrieri, for his part, hopes to use his experience in other disciplines (WTCR, Indy Lights) to quickly adapt to this unique adventure. “ I am looking forward to this new project and the tests in the ByKolles hypercar. I am sure that my extensive experience in a wide variety of cars will help us to consistently develop the PMC LMH Hypercar project and make it a success ».
ByKolles discusses an extensive testing program which is a combination of reliability, performance, electronic configuration and long-distance testing with the aim of preparing and optimizing the operation of its new Hypercar.
The first tests will take place soon. The vast development program is extended over several months before the name of the car is revealed.
