Before representing BMW in the Hypercar category in 2024, Team WRT is embarking on a new season in LM P2 for 2023. The Belgian team has thus confirmed the first of its two crews for 2023.

In No. 41, Rui Andrade will still be there. The driver born in Angola will be supported by two returnees, the inseparable Louis Delétraz and Robert Kubica, who are returning to the Belgian team after a season with Prema.

“I am very happy to to be back in the WRT family and represent ORLEN Team WRT, but this time in WEC, because we raced together and won the championship ELMS with car number 41, says Robert Kubica. This will be my third year with Louis, but my first with Rui, who I know well from the paddock and who Louis has always praised since their time in IMSA together. It will be a big challenge to race in WEC and of course at Le Mans it would be nice to do one more lap this time, which we missed in 2021 when we lost the victory on the last lap. We We will stay focused and work hard to achieve the best possible results! »

“As I said before, there would be no surprises with our lineups, adds Vincent Vosse. I'm so happy that we are working with drivers that we know very well. Louis and Robert played a fundamental role in our successes in 2021, where they became ELMS champions in our first season in LMP2, and we all remember the spectacular last lap at Le Mans, which showed how competitive they are together ! It's great to see them team up with Rui, we're going for a maximum attack strategy with our lineups for the 2023 season! »

The crew of No. 31 will be announced later. Only Sean Gelael has already been confirmed for the season which will begin on March 17, 2023 with the 1000 Miles of Sebring.
