Ferrari does not want to leave anything to chance for its big return to the premier category ofEndurance. The Italian manufacturer went to the site of its next big meeting: Sebring, where the Ferrari 499P will take part in its first official race during the 1000 Miles of Sebring next March 17.

For this, the Prancing Horse has made its arrangements around the American circuit. Very important tests as the track has unique characteristics, with concrete surfaces and numerous bumps. Ferrari carried out two days of testing to collect the necessary data in preparation for the 1000 Miles. During this first full-scale test, certain solutions were tested with the aim of improving the reliability of the car. The objective: to gather useful information regarding suspension and chassis settings during intense stress.

“The Sebring test was very important for us because we had the chance to test the 499P on the circuit where we will make its debut, said Alessandro Pier Guidi who rode the Italian Hypercar on Monday and Tuesday. It's a circuit that is also very hard on the mechanical components of the car. I really enjoyed driving it on this circuit. The feedback from these two days is positive, we have gained experience which will be important at the 1000 Miles and above all, we have been able to obtain precise timing references compared to our rivals. We still have a lot of work to do to improve further, but we know in which direction to do it. »
