Dorian Pin shift into higher gear. After a successful 2022 in GT, the Frenchwoman will be present in prototype in 2023. The young woman, who has just celebrated her 19th birthday, will thus be the starter at Prema for the next season of the WEC which will start in March in Sebring (Florida).

The Trofeo Pirelli Europe champion Ferrari Challenge will take an important step in his career with a first full exercise in an FIA world championship after discovering the WEC last May during the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. The Habs were called at the last minute following the losses of Sarah Bovy (Covid-19) and Michelle Gatting (contact case).

« I am very happy and enthusiastic to join Prema for the World Championship ofEndurance of the FIA in 2023 as Iron Lady, rejoices the person concerned. I worked hard for this. I am thrilled for such an opportunity and cannot thank the team enough for their continued support. I can't wait to start the season in Sebring (Florida) and achieve our common goals with the team. » She will participate in this complete exercise in the Prema n°63, the two other drivers of which are not yet known.

This promotion in prototype is not a surprise. Doriane Pin has already had the opportunity to test LM P2s, like last October on the Portimão track (Portugal). The Tricolore had settled into the seat of Prema's Oreca 07, just titled the day before in ELMS. A month later, it was with Team JOTA that she completed the WEC Rookie Test in Bahrain.

With the Iron Dames at Daytona

With this move to LM P2, Doriane Pin is getting closer to a possible place in Hypercar in the future, since Lamborghini and Iron Lynx will arrive there in 2024.

« Obviously, it's a dream and it's a goal that I set for myself, she told us in Portimão when the collaboration between the Italian manufacturer and Iron Lynx was announced. For now, we will focus on next season. »

The Habs are not abandoning Grand Touring, however, given that they will continue to represent the Iron Dames in other GT championships, particularly in the United States.

It will begin its season with the 24 Hours of Daytona (January 28-29). In Florida, she will find her usual teammates with whom she won the 24 Spa 2022 Hours Gold Cup at the end of July: Sarah Bovy, Rahel Frey and Michelle Gatting.

It will be on a Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 in the GTD category. Iron Lynx will present with two other cars from the Sant'Agata Bolognese (Italy) firm, including one in the GTD Pro category with Romain Grosjean. The Frenchman will make his big debut for Lamborghini colors and will be accompanied for the occasion by Andrea Caldarelli, Mirko Bortolotti and Jordan Pepper.
