We saw him last year walking sheepishly around the 24 Hours paddock. He came with Audi but did not take the wheel, victim of Dr Ullrich's desire to rejuvenate his crews. But the Italian had not managed to hide his desire to take the start of his favorite event again? even if it was not in a car from the brand with the rings.
In 2010, it was at the wheel of a Lola Judd, and against his friends from Audi with whom he won five victories (2000, 2001, 2002, 2006 and 2007), that the transalpine driver would have to fight. This time the objective is not victory, but to do the best at the 12 Hours of Sebring, 24 Hours of Le Mans and at Petit Le Mans. He will share the wheel of the Drayson racing car with the British Jony Cocker, revelation of the Asian Le Mans Series last year, and the boss Lord Drayson visibly delighted to welcome an endurance legend to his team:

This charisma and this humor which made the Italian one of the darlings of the Le Mans public, certainly delighted by this comeback.
