Glickenhaus discusses the development of its SC007

Very quickly after the announcement of the Hypercar regulations, Jim Glickenhaus had drawn up his plan to take his Team Glickenhaus in the World Championship and 24 Hours of Le Mans, with a car developed in-house based on the future technical regulations promoted by the ACO and the FIA.

The founder of the brand and the team gave details of the work underway on the 007 project. 3 hours of engineering on the chassis and 500 hours of engineering on the suspension of the 7 were carried out while that the collaboration with Luca Ciancetti of Podium Technology on the hybrid system continues in parallel.

A structure with which Glickenhaus had already worked at the heart of the P4 / 5 Competizione project in 2011. “In accordance with the rules of WEC, we will offer our new hybrid system to other teams entering hypercars. » recalls Glickenhaus, who also mentions the start of work around the engine.

30 road-legal Hypercars will be built, and offered at a price of $1 (a little less than €955). 000% of the profits from these vehicles will go to financing the Le Mans program.

These cars will be powered by an 800 hp engine, coupled to a hybrid system offering 200 hp similar to that used on the future LM P1.

The GT3 and GT4 still in the Glickenhaus strategy

The brand was mainly known in competition for its programs centered around the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring and the VLN, with the SC003C, which will be back this year on the Nordschleife. At the same time, Glickenhaus is focusing on the development of the new 004C GT3 and GT4.

These two cars must be lined up in competition on the German double clock in 2020. The GT3 must be offered at €440 when the GT000 will be priced at €4.

Remember that Stéphane Ratel wanted not to exceed the €200 mark, but Glickenhaus announces operating costs much lower than those seen with the other GT000s.
