The Corvette C8.R at the 1000 miles of Sebring

Great novelty on the GTLM scene at the last 24 Hours of Daytona, the Corvette C8.R will be lined up in WEC next March, on the occasion of the Super Sebring, mixing the events IMSA of the 12 Hours and 1000 miles of the World ChampionshipEndurance.

A copy of the latest addition to the GTLM / GTE peloton will be entered in GTE Pro, and flanked by the number 63, in the wake of an expected presence at Lone Star Le Mans in February in Austin. The crew has not yet been revealed but will logically be made up of official drivers from the brand competing on the American scene.

A new feature bringing the number of cars entered in GTE Pro to seven (with possible reinforcements expected at AF Corse for the Pier Guidi – Calado and Rigon – Molina duos).

This first list of entrants for the 1000 miles of Sebring unveiled this Thursday offers no change in LM P1, with both Toyota TS050 Hybrids which will face the Rebellion R13 – Rebellion Racing and the two Ginetta G60-LT-P1s from Team LNT.

In LM P2, the absence of Cool Racing, for operational reasons, should be noted, while Job van Uitert will return to the seat of the Oreca 07 – Racing Team Nederland.

Uncertainty remains over the teammate of Roberto Gonzalez and Anthony Davidson at Jota, Antonio Felix da Costa having played at the start of the 2019-2020 campaign, but being engaged in Formula E in China this same weekend.

Two drivers have yet to be formalized on the Porsche 911 RSR No. 88 – Dempsey-Proton alongside Thomas Preining, in GTE Am. 30 cars are expected on the track.
