Jota n°38 disqualified from the 6h of Fuji

The No. 07 Oreca 38 from the Jota team driven by Gonzalez-Da Costa-Davidson was disqualified after finishing 2nd in the LMP2 class.

Jota n°38 disqualified from the 6h of Fuji

The LMP2 podium was turned upside down at the 6 Hours of Fuji (Japan). Jota's No. 07 Oreca 38 entrusted to Roberto Gonzalez, Anthony Davidson and Antonio Felix Da Costa, which finished 2nd in the category and 5th in the general classification, was disqualified.

The commissioners cited a disconnection problem at the transmission level. Despite a second examination requested by the team, the problem was confirmed. Article 11.3.2 of the LMP2 technical regulations forced officials to disqualify the car.

As a result, it is the #37 of Jackie Chan DC Racing of Tung-Aubry-Stevens which takes the second step of the podium behind the #07 Oreca 29 of Racing Team Nederland driven by Van Eerd-Van der Garde-De Vries. The No. 07 United Autosports Oreca 22 driven by Hanson-Albuquerque-Jarvis now completes the podium.
