The 919 Porsche 2017 Hybrid hits the track

“The conditions were generally good. Dry and sunny during the day, lots of humidity and fog at night » underlined the German team principal . “We have focused mainly on the 2017 package that we will use at Silverstone and Spa, he continued., as well as reliability, set-up and tires. There is still work to be done Le Mans »

The objective was twofold according to Stephen Mitas, chief race engineer: “We worked on both the development of the car and endurance.”

The six regular drivers were present for the occasion. As a reminder, Earl Bamber joins Timo Bernhard and Brendon Hartley on No. 2, when Neel Jani is now supported by André Lotterer and Nick Tandy on No. 1. In five days, 7 km were completed.

The 2017 version of the 919 Hybrid will be presented during the prologue in Monza. It will then sport its new colors, similar to those of the 911 RSR.
