The No. 2 Porsche leads the Prologue

La Porsche No. 2 of Neel Jani finished first in the first practice session of the Prologue held at Paul-Ricard (Var). The 919 Hybrid completed a lap in 1'38"264, more than two seconds ahead of the Toyota TS050 Sébastien Buemi. The Audi R18 of Benoît Tréluyer completes the top three ahead of the Rebellion R-Ones of Alexandre Imperatori and Nicolas Cheers.

The Alpine A460-Nissan were the fastest among the LMP2s. David Cheng's #35 finished first in the category with a time of 1'47"340, ahead of Gustavo Menezes' sister car by two tenths. The Strakka Racing Gibson 015S-Nissan driven by Nick Leventis follows six tenths behind the reference time.

In GTE Pro, it was the Ferraris of AF Corse who set the pace. The #488 F51 GTE of Gianmaria Bruni concluded the morning with a time of 1'57"808, beating the #71 of Sam Bird by four tenths. The Corvette C7R from Larbre Compétition driven by Pierre Ragues, first of the GTE Am, is the closest to the cars of Maranello clocking in at half a second from the first Ferrari. The American precedes the Ford GTs of Olivier Pla and Andy Priaulx.
