The future LMP1 regulations postponed?
The future LMP1 regulations could see their implementation pushed back by one season. Originally planned for 2020-2021, the ACO and the FIA would like to postpone these modifications in order to allow more time for reflection.
This decision would not be without consequences for the WEC qui devrait patienter avec, au mieux un seul constructeur (Toyota), ces trois prochaines années.
The final objective would be to obtain a common premier category between the WEC and theIMSA. Currently, the ChampionshipEndurance American is enjoying great success with a mixture of LMP2 and DPi in which manufacturers can invest by devoting reasonable budgets, starting from chassis on which they affix their visual identities.
