Hope Racing prepares for the WEC

Last June, Hope Racing became the first team in history to take part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans with a car, the Oreca 01 SwissHytech, equipped with so-called “hybrid” technology. But 2011 was not an easy year for the Swiss, since the Le Mans classic was the only race in which this car took part. But not the type to give up, Benoît Morand's troops got back to work, with the objective of participating in the world championship of?Endurance next season.

With this in mind, everyone headed to Spain in mid-December to carry out tests on the Jerez and Monteblanco circuits, to evaluate the different developments made to the package. The house driver, the Swiss Steve Zacchia, had obviously been requisitioned. “The behavior of the engine and the hybrid is clearly improving, admits the latter. I am very satisfied with the behavior of the car. There's still a lot to do between now and Sebring, but we're definitely on the right track.". Note that Grégory Guilvert also participated in these tests. It could well be that the Frenchman will defend the interests of the team in 2012. Next session scheduled for early February.
