Le Mans – Pierre Ragues bounces back at Larbre

After the 2013 European Le Mans Series title obtained with Signatech-Alpine, Pierre Ragues found himself without a steering wheel in Endurance at the start of the 2014 season after the second A450 was placed on the list of alternates at Le Mans. A real blow for the Frenchman who had recently freelanced in rally in the French Championship at Lyon-Charbonnières on a Skoda Fabia S2000. The return of Larbre Compétition and the Morgan LM P2 n°50 to the entry list for the 24 Hours of Le Mans (June 14-15), following the withdrawal of Millenium Racing in particular, combined with the availability of the native of Caen, made this union possible.

“This will be my eighth 24 Hours of Le Mans. No racing season is complete without this fantastic event, explains the 30-year-old pilot. I am happy to join the Larbre team this year. I had the opportunity to test the Morgan Judd LM P2 and the Michelin tires at Paul Ricard earlier this year, but our preparations for this big event will intensify with the official test at the circuit at the beginning of the month next. I have a lot of experience at Le Mans and I am sure that I will be able to contribute well to Larbre's Le Mans premiere with a prototype. »

“His expertise at Le Mans and endurance racing is important and we will benefit from his knowledge in this new chapter at Le Mans for our team. Pierre's ability to integrate very quickly into our team during the Prologue at Paul Ricard was a key factor in including him in our team for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. » explains Jack Leconte, owner of Larbre.

Ragues will team up with American Ricky Taylor and Japanese Keiko Ihara in the Morgan LM P2. Onroak Automotive will support Larbre in this project. The Test day for the 24 Hours of Le Mans will take place on June 1st.
