Olivier Quesnel: “Preparing for Le Mans”

“Last year, we won the 12 Hours of Sebring. There were 28 cars on track. This year, there will be 57 on the starting grid. Which is equivalent to one car every 100 meters. THE Peugeot will spend their time overtaking and therefore necessarily taking risks.”

“What’s more, we’re in the United States? The spectacle is privileged. Numerous safety car exits are expected in order to regroup the peloton as often as possible. So we will have to survive. Then reach the finish. Finally, if we win the race, we will be delighted.”

“But whatever happens, from the moment we came with our new 908, it's a huge work session. Above all, we want to preserve our cars. The aim is to prepare the 24 Hours of Le Mans. This year, we have a clearly identified objective. It is essentially and above all a victory at Le Mans. We will do everything for it. And even if it remains a mechanical sport and it is not a foregone conclusion, you can trust the Peugeot Sport team.”

“We must not mix objectives. We cannot chase several hares at once. Sebring will serve as a full-scale test session in preparation for the 24 Hours of Le Mans.”

Currently on newsstands is the AUTOhebdo ILMC Guide, with all the teams, all the cars, all the drivers, the circuits, the issues, etc.
