Panoz: “We feel very strong” against Nissan

The former collaboration between Don Panoz and Nissan will finally end in court. The owner of the DeltaWing concept has decided to file a complaint against Nissan, Darren Cox (the manufacturer's sporting director) and Ben Bowlby (the creator of the DetaWing who left for Nissan) for having used the concept of the American prototype on its new Zeod RC and BladeGlide. The first is expected at the 56th stand during the next 24 Hours of Le Mans while the second was presented a few days earlier at the Tokyo Motor Show.

“We feel very strong”, comments Don Panoz on Autoweek. “It was interesting to see Nissan staff try to dodge the question, but the fact is that they admit in their own press releases that the configuration of the Zeod is the same as the DeltaWing. We have patents, the last one was filed last week. We are in contact with our legal advisors. »

The collaboration between Don Panoz and Nissan ended last year after the Japanese firm powered this very special prototype.
