Philippe Sinault (Alpine): “The 1000 Miles of Sebring are never easy”

The wait is over. After a break of almost 4 months, the world championship ofEndurance is making a comeback. A week after the Sebring Prologue, the WEC always finds himself on the Florida route to compete in the famous 1000 Miles.

The only French manufacturer involved in Hypercar, Alpine arrives there with a lot of ambitions after having set the best time in its category during the Prologue. “ After a complete overhaul of the A480, the team of the A arrowed brand is more ready than ever to take up the challenge and demonstrate the extent of its progress in the face of formidable and keen competition.,” writes the French firm in its press release.

« This is probably one of the toughest events of the year., warns team manager Philippe Sinault for his part. The 1000 Miles of Sebring are never simple. You have to be reliable, stay focused at all times, avoid traps, manage traffic, without forgetting the absence of escape or nightfall. It's a real act of bravery, but we have an experienced team and drivers who have already demonstrated their ease in this type of long race. In any case, we are more than ever ready to take up the challenge! »

If it wants to be ambitious before the start of the season, the French team knows that the competition will be there. Alpine n’a en effet jamais pu venir à bout de Toyota depuis son retour en catégorie reine l’an dernier. Et avec une A480 limitée dans le développement contrairement à la Japanese GR010 which has evolved, the task seems very complicated. But impossible is not French.
