ROC – Kristensen and Solberg win the Nations Cup

Tom Kristensen and Petter Solberg (Team Nordic) beat David Coulthard and Susie Wolff (Team Scotland) in the final in Barbados (Caribbean) and thus succeed Michael Schumacher et Sebastian Vettel who won the last one in 2012. The nine-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans was the most effective since it was he who beat the test pilot Williams before avenging his teammate by winning against the Scotsman.

The nine-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans had already shone earlier by eliminating France in the semi-finals. After having advanced Esteban Ocon, the Dane beat the Lotus driver who won against the World RX world champion. The Frenchman announced on his Twitter account that it was a technical problem which was at the origin of this elimination.

Nevertheless, the French pilots were more successful during the groups since they qualified to the advantage of the best times against the Young Stars, Pascal Wehrlein and Jolyon Palmer, who also scored three successes. The Team Americas of José-Maria Lopez and Robby Gordon remained two wins away, with the Argentinian finishing on the roof at the wheel of the Stadium Super Truck.

Team Scotland beat Team Barbados made up of Dane Skeete and Rhett Watson in the semi-finals, although the former managed to win a round against Susie Wolff. Team USA of Kurt Busch and Ryan Hunter-Reay and Team Australia with Jamie Whincup and Mike Doohan did not make it through the qualifying rounds.
