An essential proximity

Car technical checks allow you to be in the city, close to people. Do you like this proximity?
Yes, because that?s the story of this race. When I was very young, I came to the paddock to take photos with the drivers and have them sign autographs. I believe that for the future of motor racing, it is important. It?s great and very specific to this race. It?s very important to keep that, especially to come here, downtown, for the checks.

A few days before the race, do you feel the pressure increasing?
Yes, when I arrive here, at the quincunx des Jacobins, I can see the new cars, meet the new drivers. It?s very relaxed. There are a lot of fans, it's like that every year and it's very nice.

How do you view this week at Le Mans?

At Audi, we have a new car but I have a very good feeling with it. But it?s very difficult to say because the competition is very long. And, since last year, Aston Martin, Oreca and Peugeot have progressed a lot. The race will be much more difficult than last year. And last year, it was already very hard?
