For his fourth season under the colors of McLaren, Lando Norris approaches this new campaign with maturity. At 22, the British driver has 5 podiums and a pole position to his name. Figures that he wishes to increase under the colors of the Woking factory where he recently signed a new lease for the next four years

« This is definitely a great opportunity, did he declare about his contract before discussing the points where he wishes to improve.. I am aiming for greater regularity, I think I have made good progress between 2020 and 2021. We now have to work on the small mistakes which were very costly.» The British driver particularly regrets having missed certain big opportunities to score points like during the Russian Grand Prix. He had won pole on Saturday but did not want to put on the rain tires for the end of the race, thus letting his first victory in the big leagues slip away. Episodes that allowed him to grow as a pilot but also as a man.

« I feel confident and confident in my conduct, I feel like I can lead the team…I feel like I'm in a place where I can count on the team to help me and vice versa. We will see a big difference with previous seasons. We will have to understand how to drive the new car and everything that revolves around these new regulations. VSIt's an opportunity for every driver.

We have some ideas of how the car will behave thanks to the simulator, but until we are on the track we cannot predict. I hope it will suit my driving style and that everything will be fine. But obviously there are things that I will have to adapt to but as is the case for all the other drivers on the grid.»

Lando Norris will be able to get a first idea of the MCL36's performance during winter testing at the Barcelona circuit on February 23 and 25 before starting the season in Bahrain on March 18.
