After the penalties received by Kimi Räikkönen and Antonio Giovinazzi, for incorrect calibration of the clutch at the start (application of torque outside the defined period of 70 milliseconds), offering according to the FIA a potential advantage, Alfa Romeo had indicated its intention to appeal decisions 56 and 57 of the German GP stewards.
Two decisions which saw Räikkönen and Giovinazzi receive a 10″ stop&go, transformed into 30″ added to the race time. The team led by Frédéric Vasseur confirmed this Thursday, just before the Hungarian Grand Prix that the appeal had been filed. Enough to potentially restore the points lost by the drivers.
