Alfa Romeo about to be confirmed with Sauber?

If the name ofAlfa Romeo has been discussed in the paddocks for several months, the arrival of the Italian brand owned by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (which no longer owns Ferrari since last year) could soon be confirmed for next season.

Clean F1 Team is preparing to confirm that it will rebadge the Power Units developed by Ferrari by taking the name of Alfa Romeo, in the manner of what is done Red Bull Racing with the motors Renault rebadged Tag Heuer.

The Swiss team would take the opportunity to confirm its 2018 crew which would unsurprisingly be made up of Charles Leclerc, reigning champion of the F2 with Prema, as well as Marcus Ericsson. The Monegasque would thus take the place of Pascal Wehrlein.

Alfa Romeo has evolved as an engine manufacturer in F1 since 1950 before leaving the discipline in 1987. The Italian brand won 12 Grand Prix victories and established itself as a Manufacturer in the early 1950s with Juan Manuel Fangio and Giuseppe Farina.
