Author of a solid start to the season, Haas must continue its momentum to further distance itself from its competitors in the team rankings. With four entries in the points in five Grands Prix, the American team is clearly the surprise in the second part of the table at the start of the year. Everyone predicted him to be at the back of the grid, very far from the middle of the pack, but it is clear that his performances in these first races have defied the detractors, including internally.

At the dawn of the 6th Grand Prix of the season, Haas is moving forward for its first home meeting (of the three planned in the United States this year). Heading to Florida and Miami where the drivers are keen to perform in front of their fans.

“Miami is a big event for us, assures Kevin Magnussen. It's a great track, and I personally love the track – it's a hybrid track with parts of street, road and track, but there are high-speed sections. This was one of our best weekends last season (10th place, Editor’s note), and I hope that with our car this year we can have an even better race. Of course, the American races are busy for us because we are an American team with many American sponsors, so I'm really looking forward to it. »

On the side of Nico Hulkenberg, it will be a special race. Indeed, it is the first since the announcement of his departure from Haas for Sauber at the end of the season. However, the German does not seem perturbed and is determined to help his team.

“This is the first of three home races for us this season, and the team is feeling good at the moment, rejoices the 36-year-old pilot. We are in the battle for points when the opportunity presents itself and I hope we can show our abilities in front of our fans. »

Return of the F1 Academy

In Miami, it is also the opportunity to see the pilots of the F1 Academy at work. Chloe Chambers, Haas representative in the discipline, will also race at home this weekend.

“I can't even express how excited I am for this race! It's not only my home race, but also Haas's! This will be my first time back at the circuit since I raced there in the W Series in 2022. I had good results a few years ago, so I'm really hoping to repeat that this year. I am convinced that we can score good points and I really hope to get on the podium in front of my home crowd! »
