Allison: Ferrari must quickly redress the situation

James Allison arrived at Scuderia Ferrari last month when the team Maranello going through a difficult time. Dominated by Red Bull Racing which is on the verge of winning the Drivers' and Manufacturers' titles for the 4th time in a row, the Prancing Horse wants to maintain its 2nd place in the Teams ranking where it only has ten points ahead of Mercedes AMG F1. But the latest results of the Italian team are not transcendent since Fernando Alonso missed the podium in the last two events.

“The South Korean and Japanese Grands Prix were disappointing for us”, recognizes James Allison, the new technical director of the chassis part. “It's always disappointing not to win and our performance level was lower than our expectations. However, we did not make any mistakes: the drivers were efficient and we were astute in terms of strategy. But the car's performance was not good enough and that's what we have to work on for the next 4 races. »

Scuderia Ferrari can hope for a good result this weekend at the Indian Grand Prix since Fernando Alonso took 2nd place last year while his teammate Felipe Massa finished just outside the top 5. “The Buddh International Circuit is an interesting circuit which offers many challenges with a reasonable number of straights, slow and fast corners. A bit like Korea, this track makes you a little schizophrenic because you want a car that performs well on the straights and the slow corners. »
