Alonso: Räikkönen's exit is strange

Kimi Räikkönen lost control of his Ferrari in the first round of the Austrian GP. No doubt trapped by the still cold soft tires, the 2007 world champion hit the McLaren de Fernando Alonso and saw the MP4-30 pass right in front of his helmet. Both drivers escaped with a real scare.

“He was sliding a lot coming out of the second turn”, explained Fernando Alonso. “There must have been a big difference between the soft and super soft tires. I was on his left when he lost control of his car. It was a little strange to see a car slipping into 4th or 5th gear. It happened to him and I was in the wrong place. »

Fernando Alonso still admitted that he was worried about Kimi Räikkönen's state of health after going over the Ferrari. “I saw that I had a Ferrari in my mirrors but I didn’t know where it was. I went out as quickly as possible to see if he was okay. I saw him put his steering wheel back on and I was relieved”, added the double world champion.
