Alonso still doesn't regret leaving Ferrari

While McLaren-Honda is in difficulty with its Power Unit, the Team Ferrari seems to be reborn with Sebastian Vettel's victory at the Malaysian GP. This success is a hard blow for Fernando Alonso who left the Maranello team after five unsuccessful seasons, notably due to the domination of Red Bull Racing and the German who became four-time world champion.

Fernando Alonso does not show any regrets even if he admits that the situation could change if the Scuderia confirms its return to form. “I finished in 2nd place (in the Championship) three times (2010, 2012 and 2013) and I didn’t want to finish 2nd a fourth time”, said the Asturian in the paddock of the Chinese GP in Shanghai. “I might change my mind if they win the Championship, but I'll be happy with my decision if they finish 2nd or 3rd. »

In the meantime, the double world champion is closely following developments in McLaren-Honda and always displays unfailing confidence. “There is not a day or a Grand Prix where we do not think we will become competitive. It's only a question of time... The priority is to finish the race (this weekend). If we finish the tests with good performances, that will already be good news”, added the resident of the Woking stable.
