Audi's arrival shows how popular F1 is: Christian Horner

Even if it is not for now, the F1 is preparing to welcome a brand new manufacturer. In 2026, Audi will indeed join the big circus as an engine manufacturer even if the Ingolstadt firm plans to buy a team which should be Sauber according to our information. The German structure does not want to start from a blank sheet, preferring to start the adventure with a team already present on the grid.

This aims to be more “green” with 100% sustainable fuel and has above all confirmed the removal of the MGU-H (thermal generator engine mounted on the turbo), an essential point for Audi to confirm its arrival in Formula 1.
