BMW does not take off

There are seasons that bring no satisfaction. For the moment, 2009 is one of those at BMW. The Srec was to be the success of the Swiss team. Finally, Mario Theissen?s team is ready to do without it for the rest of the season. Last year, Robert Kubica was, for a few months, on par with the McLarens and the Ferrari with a view to the world crown. This season is a black hole. The Pole has not yet scored any points and is unable to climb the hierarchy.

However, Kubica was not stingy with his efforts this winter. To integrate a Srec weighing down its car, the Pole carried out a drastic diet in order to lighten up and remain competitive. Efforts in vain due to the lack of effectiveness of the system developed.
If the concerns were already present during the previous Grands Prix, the three Monegasque free practice sessions bring a cruel verdict for BMW. If the cars keep the same pace, they will only see Q1 on Saturday afternoon (16th-17th in EL1, 17th-20th in EL2, 18th-19th in EL3). Unfortunate for a team which was determined to play the leading roles.
