Bottas thinks he is more motivated than Hamilton

Si Mercedes outrageously dominates the 2019 season, it is Lewis Hamilton who benefits the most. The five-time world champion has won 7 victories this year compared to only two for Valtteri Bottas. The Finn is already seeing his title chances slip away, falling 49 points behind the Briton as the summer break approaches.

“I think I want victories more (than Lewis Hamilton). It's a great strength, however indicated the Mercedes driver to ESPN F1. I still haven't achieved my personal goals in F1 and I'm working harder than ever to get them. »

Valtteri Bottas, however, is not satisfied with his current performances and is constantly questioning himself depending on the weekend. The Finn was well on his way to fighting against his teammate at the British GP, but his race was destroyed by a safety car.

“I sometimes think, ‘You’re stupid! » and sometimes I say to myself “You are the best”. I'm just trying to be honest with myself. We can always try to improve or find excuses of all kinds in this discipline. What works for me is accepting my strengths and weaknesses.”, he added.

Valtteri Bottas will have a new opportunity to secure a 6th victory in F1 this weekend at the German GP where he has reached the second step of the podium twice.
