Brawn: Hamilton tries to calm things down

Mercedes AMG F1 went through a difficult season in 2012. If it had started its year well with a victory for Nico Rosberg in Shanghai, the Stuttgart manufacturer had a more difficult end to the year with lower performances and the announcement of the departure of Michael Schumacher replaced by Lewis Hamilton. All eyes are on the star manufacturer, the latter having to transform this juicy contract with the Briton into convincing results. However, the 2008 world champion will need a more competitive Silver Arrow than previous generations to hope to shine.

“I think Lewis is trying to take the pressure off”, commented Ross Brawn, Team Principal of Mercedes AMG F1. “I am sure that in his heart he is aiming for victory and poles but he also understands the road we have to go. We are working very hard to ensure that he and Nico Rosberg have the opportunity to achieve these results. It is now essential that we make progress from our current situation. We will try even if we fail to achieve all of our goals. I like the idea of doing it next year. »
