The more races go by, the more Brawn drivers desert the first places. However, this Hungarian Grand Prix, contested in the heat of the Hungaroring, was to mark their return.

Brawn, the beginning of the end?

Can Jenson Button lose the world champion title? In three Grands Prix, the forecasts have changed. After seven events, the British driver outrageously dominated the Formula 1, with six victories and 61 points scored out of 65 possible. But during the Grands Prix of Great Britain, Germany and Hungary, the Briton only scored eight points.

After Silverstone and the Nürburgring, the team expressed the lack of performance of its car when the temperature did not rise sufficiently. But this Sunday, in Hungary, the heat was there. And Jenson Button achieved no better than seventh place. The leader of the world championship attributes this result to the renewed form of the other teams, as he said after the race, in comments relayed by RMC.fr. “ The least we can say is that the others have improved their cars. THE Red Bull are much faster and Ferrari et McLaren have raised their level of performance, as have Williams. »

Jenson Button is not deluding himself, the single-seater of Brackley is no longer above the others. “ Our car is not at the level it was a few races ago. The rhythm is no longer the same. We were overtaken. We no longer have the level of performance we had at the start of the season. The positive aspect is that we have a lot of time before the next race, which will hopefully allow us to resolve this. » But with development blocked during the mini championship break, Brawn GP will have little opportunity to find developments before the European Grand Prix.
