Button hopes for the same progress as Ferrari

The first year of the tandem's return McLaren-Honda will not have lived up to the expectations of Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button. Regularly hampered by mechanical problems, the two drivers of the British team were only able to score 27 points between them, the Woking team being ahead of the standings by Sauber.

Despite this disappointing performance, Jenson Button, renewed for an additional season after being close to retiring, hopes that McLaren can bounce back this season on the model of Ferrari, returned to the forefront last year.

« It was good to see Ferrari getting back into rhythm, specifies the 2009 World Champion, quoted by ESPN. I heard rumors that they found a hundred horses during the winter. I don't know if this is true or not. But whatever they found was important and they fought with it. Mercedes at many times. Obviously, we need to make even greater efforts if we want to achieve that, but it can be done over the course of a winter. »

Eric Boullier, team principal of the team, had recently indicated that the new car from Woking presented superior performance to the MP4-30 seen last year in the Grand Prix.
