David Richards, boss of the company Prodrive, is no longer an actor in the Formula 1 but remains attentive to a world that he knew well and that he would have liked to return to. While teams such as Campos or USF1 are having difficulty making their debut in F1, the former manager of British American Racing is not surprised.
« I'm not too surprised by the difficulties encountered by certain teams, he told the Sun. They must meet the dual challenge of building the technical infrastructure and finding the necessary funds to launch their F1 program. »
If he was one of the candidates to enter F1, the president of Prodrive is ready to inherit an entry into the premier single-seater category, even if a 2010 project is now illusory. “ It is not feasible for us to consider participation this year but we are ready to explore future opportunities. »
