As a form of recognition? After a start to the season which propelled him to first place in the championship, the Monegasque driver continues to be talked about, but this time, in a different register. Charles Leclerc, himself, has just announced that he has been selected by the Electronics Arts label to appear on the cover of F1 2022.

Virtual reality and new game modes expected

While the release of the new F1 is scheduled for July 1, 2022, some well-informed insiders have apparently been able to taste a preview of this new edition. If the Story mode, glimpsed during the last editions, should disappear, a new game mode called F1 Life should appear. It could allow you to step into the shoes of an F1 driver, on and above all, off the track, where it will even be possible to collect racing cars, watches, etc.

Even crazier. F1 2022 should enter a new category, by making a mode compatible with the virtual reality headset accessible! If the new circuits that appeared this season should obviously make their appearance in the game, the Russian Grand Prix and its circuit based in Sochi should go the other way, in compliance with the publisher's policy, which notably removed the Russian national football teams and selections, Fifa, for example.

By being officially licensed by the FIA, it will obviously be possible to race on all the circuits on the 2022 calendar, with the twenty drivers on the grid and the ten teams in the paddock. Sprint races should also appear for the first time. F1 2022 will also be available in two versions, the Standard Edition and the Champions Edition; with some widgets unlocked in addition to the classic edition.
