Charles Leclerc confirmed that he will take part in free practice sessions with Sauber F1 Team at the end of the season.
The resident of the Ferrari Driver Academy will be present at FP1 of the Malaysian GP on Friday September 29, before returning to the US GP tests in Austin (Texas), Mexico City, and Interlagos (Brazil). The 2016 GP3 Series champion will take the wheel of Marcus Ericsson's C36 at Sepang.

As we announce to you in issue 2132 of AUTOhebdo, Charles Leclerc could become Sauber's regular driver next year, replacing Pascal Wehrlein. If Marcus Ericsson should stay in place in 2018, Antonio Giovinazzi could also be recruited, which would make the Swiss team a Junior Team of Scuderia Ferrari.
