Charles Pic will work hard to improve

Charles Pic spoke to the official Formula 1 website. He detailed his plans for the end of the year, his arrival at Caterham and what his goals will be for his second full season at the highest level of motorsport.

For the Drômois, there is no doubt, “Caterham has enormous potential”. “I am 100% convinced of it. We just have to work hard to improve and to be better next year, to take a step forward?, he announces. Because if since its three years of existence in Formula 1 the Malaysian team has always found itself ahead of the two other new teams, Charles Pic knows that together, they “can do better”. “Our goal is to progress, but I don’t think we are under pressure. We know where we want to go and that?s the most important thing for the team?. Rookie this season at Marussia, the new Caterham driver declares that he still has “much to learn”. “I am convinced that you cannot learn everything in one year. I will try to improve as quickly as possible ». For example, Charles Pic would like to work on his ability to adapt quickly to very different situations. Timo Glock, his experienced teammate in 2012, “was very good at that.” “I was able to learn that from him and I’m going to work on it next year”.

Very happy with his first season in the premier category, the protégé of Olivier Panis does not expect an easier 2013 campaign. “It’s never easier, it’s just different”, he judges. While the first winter tests will begin in less than two months, Charles Pic is about to take a two-week vacation in France with his family. “It’s a strange feeling. Normally I am very happy to spend time with my family for the holidays, but on the other hand I am really looking forward to early January to work with Caterham?.
