Daniel Ricciardo: Red Bull can fight with Ferrari

This Friday, Daniel Ricciardo was beaten twice by his teammate Max Verstappen on the Silverstone route. 4th and 6th of the two sessions, the Australian nevertheless admits not having encountered any major problems with his RB13 powered by the block Renault, but expect even more performances tomorrow Saturday.

« It was a good Friday. We have learned a lot, but there is still time to find. Judging from last week's performance, we can definitely improve in the high-speed sections and we haven't optimized the car yet.

The conditions were difficult with the low temperature of the track and the wind, I had a scare in Maggots and Becketts. As for the tires, I think most riders are happier with the soft at the moment. The supersoft is a little faster, but it doesn't seem to last as long, so I think most of the racing will be done on the soft tire. »

To look upward

The Australian especially believes that Red Bull Racing can be placed at the level of the Team Ferrari. Max Verstappen was notably faster than the two SF70Hs during the first free practice session this morning at Silverstone.

« I am still confident that we can challenge for a podium on Sunday, but we need to make some improvements to make that happen. Mercedes is very fast, but I think if we do everything possible we can fight with Ferrari tomorrow. Qualifying should be a great fight. »
