The 2020 season has unfortunately still not started due to the coronavirus pandemic, preventing Daniel Ricciardo to begin a second year with Renault F1 team.
The Australian, who arrived from Red Bull Racing at the end of 2018, was seen as one of the major elements in the continued return to the highest level of the Diamond in F1. After a first year of joint discovery, the Franco-British environment and the ex-Red Bull driver had to move up a gear in 2020.
A campaign which must also be the last in Ricciardo's current contract with Renault. The question of the future of the resident of RS 20 no. 3 will therefore automatically arise. And for the latter, no door should be closed, even that of a return to Red Bull.
“I was not asked this question, indicates Ricciardo on Sky Sports. Would I rule out returning to Red Bull? I think the answer to this is: no.
Something I learned growing up in general throughout life is never say never and never completely neglect something. »
The Australian will therefore once again remain one of the pivots of the transfer market in 2020, whatever his choice to stay with Renault or try a new adventure.
