Manor F1 Team will not have waited long before finding a replacement for Graeme Lowdon, who confirmed his departure from the team after the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix during yesterday's press conference in Brazil.
Dave Ryan, 61 years old, at the head of Von Ryan Racing, a team recognized on the GT scene and in particular the Blancpain GT Series, and former sporting director of McLaren, was appointed to replace Lowdon.
“He needs no introduction, of course, having spent 34 years within the sport, comments Stephen Fitzpatrick, owner of Manor, who again confirmed the departure of Lowdon and John Booth. With our new Power Unit Mercedes Benz, and the technical partnership with Williams and recent additions to our design and technical team, Dave's arrival is another important step towards our goal of creating a truly competitive racing team. »
“Having spent time with Stephen, and understanding his vision for the future, it is clear that he is ensuring he has a strong platform from which the team can take big steps forward in the seasons to come. » added Dave Ryan.
It remains to be seen who will take the position of Team Principal of the team, left vacant by John Booth.
