David Coulthard champion of the Race Of Champions

David Coulthard succeeds Romain Grosjean becoming the new champion of the Race Of Champions organized in Barbados (Caribbean). The old pilot Red Bull a beat the test pilot Mercedes F1 Pascal Wehrlein in the final by winning both rounds contested with the KTM X-Bow and the Atom Cup. “It's fantastic to win in Barbados at the end of this fantastic week. Pascal is undoubtedly a star of tomorrow”, said the winner who previously eliminated Petter Solberg and Jamie Whincup. For his part, Pascal Wehrlein was not unworthy either since he beaten Esteban Ocon who reached the semi-final after facing Ryan Hunter-Reay in the quarter. His compatriot Romain Grosjean was less successful since the Lotus driver did not pass the qualifying heats, with only one success against Mick Doohan. The former GP2 champion lost to Jamie Whincup and… David Coulthard.
