Is the domino effect slowly taking hold? Three years after his championship title Formula 2, Nyck De Vries is about to find a seat for the 2023 season. This Friday, our German colleagues from Motorsport-magazine.com have in fact revealed that the Dutchman had been seen in the company of Helmut Marko near Graz, in Austria. AUTOhebdo is able to confirm the information, and the two men would have agreed on the arrival of the 27-year-old Batavian at Alpha Tauri from next season, where he should play alongside Yuki tsunoda.

As a reminder, whileAlpine eyes very clearly Pierre Gasly, Helmut Marko had shown himself ready to release the Frenchman from his last year of contract for services rendered, against a transfer fee and on the condition of finding a replacement for him. For several weeks, Red Bull wanted to place Colton Herta, the young 22-year-old American, within the Faenza team (Italy), before definitively abandoning the track, due to the inflexibility of the FIA granted a superlicense exemption to the Californian, who only has 32 of the 40 points necessary to validate the precious sesame.

Free path for Gasly?

Thanks to his superb successful performance at the Italian Grand Prix (9th with Williams), Nyck De vries was able to seize his chance and convince the demanding Helmut Marko to trust him for 2023. The supposed arrival of the Dutchman at AlphaTauri in any case seems to suitAlpine and Pierre Gasly, now that his replacement has been found. Finding a successor for him was the main obstacle to the arrival of the Norman within the French team, which should be able to accelerate on the Habs file.

The domino game will thus be able to take place, since Williams, who was also waiting for what Nyck De Vries would do, will be able to see more clearly regarding the possible replacement of Nicholas latifi in 2023, while Dorilton Capital, the American owner of the Williams team, would not be against the idea of establishing the American driver Logan sargeant, multiple winner in Formula 2 and Formula 3 ces dernières années.

The native of Boca Raton (Florida), member of the Williams Driver Academy, will also make his official debut as part of a Grand Prix weekend by driving during Free Practice 1 of the US GP in Austin (Texas). )

This is probably what will happen, I remain doubtful as to the good understanding of 2 French roosters in the same barnyard! Surprised all the same that not for a moment was it considered that De Vries would take Tsunoda's place. I didn't dream Alpine will test De Vries well? This will be against RB compensation or it has become the rule, Alpine does the job for others??!!
