The end of the season looks bright for Oscar piastri. Author of a new fantastic weekend near Jeddah in Formula 2, with a pole and two victories in the three races of the weekend, the Australian will have the opportunity to secure a title that we can hardly imagine slipping away from him in Abu Dhabi next weekend, given to its 51,5 points lead.

The Aussie will, however, have to not go overboard when it comes to celebrating him, since he will make his official debut in Formula 1 a few days later, during the end-of-season young driver tests. The member of theAlpine Academy will indeed ride with the brand with the arrowed A, at the wheel of the A521 victorious this year in the hands ofEsteban Ocon

Ocon and Alonso will ride during the Pirelli days

“I am extremely looking forward to participating in the young driver tests, expressed the Melbourne native. This will be my first official day in my new role as the team's reserve driver heading into next year. Every day in an F1 car is pretty special, but it's really cool to be able to drive the car current with other competitors on the track and in a more or less competitive setting. »

Note that Esteban Ocon and Fernando Alonso, the two team starters, will also each drive one day in order to familiarize themselves with the 18-inch tires which will be fitted to the RS 18 during the two days devoted to Pirelli testing.
