Discover the starting grid for the 2019 Belgian GP

The 2019 edition of the Belgian Grand Prix will take place in a heavy atmosphere following the death of Anthoine Hubert at Spa-Francorchamps. A minute of silence will be observed at 14:53 p.m. by the paddock and the drivers. 

At 15:10 p.m., the race will begin. THE Ferrari are among the favorites, thanks to a first line all red. Charles Leclerc will get ahead of his teammate Sebastian Vettel towards the braking of La Source. 

 

The Mercedes, in difficulty, are nevertheless on the second line. Lewis Hamilton will be keen to catch up after his driving error in Free Practice 3. In front of excited fans, Max Verstappen (Red Bull) will have difficulty threatening the leaders.

Behind, the grid is transformed after the application of a myriad of penalties. Indeed, seven drivers suffered several relegation places for changing mechanical elements : Carlos Sainz Jr. (McLaren, 16th), Nico Hulkenberg (Renault, 12th), Daniel Ricciardo (Renault, 10th), Daniil Kvyat (Toro Rosso, 19th), Lance stroll (Racing Point, 17th) and the newcomer at Red Bull, Alexander albon (18e). 

This allows veteran Kimi Räikkönen (Alfa Romeo) to climb to sixth place, one of his best performances in 2019. The first Frenchman is Romain Grosjean (Haas), who will start ninth. Pierre Gasly (Toro Rosso) will start from 15th row just behind the astonishing George Russell (Williams), not penalized.
