Check out the 1 F2018 driver list after Alfa Romeo Sauber announcement

Saturday morning, the Sauber team, renamed Alfa Romeo Clean F1 Team for the 2018 season, revealed its pair of drivers for the coming year. Next to Marcus Ericsson, Charles Leclercchampion F2 in title, will discover the discipline. After this announcement, there is only one position left to fill on the side of Williams.

The British team is evaluating several possibilities. If Lance stroll was renewed, there are four of them scrapping for the other steering wheel. During post-season testing in Abu Dhabi, Robert Kubica completed more than a hundred laps. The Pole seems to have gained the upper hand over Williams reserve driver Paul di Resta, whom Robert Kubica faced twice out of sight in October.

Paul di Resta was also conspicuous by his absence in Abu Dhabi; the Russian Sergey Sirotkin, recently reservist for Renault, slipped into the FW40 at Yas Marina. The former protégé of Red Bull Daniil Kvyat and Pascal Wehrlein, without driving in F1 after a year at Sauber, are also candidates.

Drivers confirmed for 2018:

Mercedes - Lewis Hamilton et Valtteri Bottas
Ferrari - Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Räikkönen
Red Bull - Daniel Ricciardo et Max Verstappen
Force India – Sergio Pérez and Esteban Ocon
Williams – Lance Stroll and ??
Renault - Nico Hulkenberg et Carlos Sainz Jr
Toro Rosso - Pierre Gasly et Brendon Hartley
Haas - Romain Grosjean et Kevin Magnussen
McLaren - Fernando Alonso and Stoffel Vandoorne
Alfa Romeo Sauber – Marcus Ericsson and Charles Leclerc
