Progress for Lotus-Renault GP

After disappointing results in Spain and Monaco, the Lotus-Renault GP performed well again in the race during the Canadian GP.
A return to form due to the improvements made on the R31 according to Eric Boullier, the team director: “We have identified some of our recent problems and the solutions we have brought to Montreal are promising because our pace has clearly improved.”

Very critical of its drivers after the Monaco GP, Eric Boullier this time salutes the performance of Nick Heidfeld: “He had a perfect race. Unfortunately, he was taken out by Kobayashi who was abnormally slow in his lap exiting the pits.”
The director of Lotus-Renault GP believes that Vitaly Petrov deserved even better than his 5th place: “With a little more luck, Vitaly could have finished a little higher in the rankings.”
An opinion shared by the Russian pilot: “In absolute terms, finishing 5th from 10th place is a good result, but on the other hand, I honestly felt like I could finish on the podium. That being said, I think we are back after a few difficult races.”
