Di Resta: Still work in testing

Force India is not having the hoped-for start to the season with Vijay Mallya's ambitions to secure fifth place in the Manufacturers' Championship. Paul di Resta, however, remains on a good note in Bahrain with a sixth position. However, the Indian team was not very diligent at Mugello before going to Barcelona. The Briton believes that the VJM05 still needs to be improved in testing.

“This result (in Bahrain) made the whole team very proud”, assures Paul di Resta. “Everyone helped put together this strong performance. We didn't do many laps at Mugello but it was still a chance for us to evaluate our progress. However, there remains a lot of work to be done in free trials to exploit the full potential of the car, but we've already checked the basics. I probably know Barcelona better than any other track on the calendar. I rode there four days this winter, so I feel well prepared even if it’s the same for everyone. I expect the field to be incredibly close once again. »
