Domenicali: “Among the best”

At the end of the winter tests, many observers agree that the best equipped team at the dawn of the 2010 season is Ferrari. With an Alonso-Massa duo which looks great, an F10 which seems well born, the Scuderia is scary.

Domenicali: “Among the best”

After a very disappointing 2009 with a single success won by Kimi Räikkönen at Spa-Francorchamps, Stefano Domenicali and his men are more motivated than ever.

Confidence is essential among the reds:

“We are happy with the work accomplished, says the boss of the Team at the website of the Formula 1. The reliability is there, and that is very important. I'm very happy with the car, both when we simulated qualifying and when we completed a number of laps on full fuel. What we can see is that we are among the best both in pure performance and in long relays. I am not used to making predictions, but the championship is going to be very competitive, unlike last year. Before the tests we thought there would be four teams likely to fight for the title, but ultimately there could well be even more. We know that we are going to fight against very strong teams, who have worked very hard during the winter. But we are ready to take on the challenge. »

Felipe Massa covered 229 laps in two days and set the third time at the end of the four days, but the Brazilian does not claim victory:

“I do not share the opinion of those who say that we are the strongest. I think we are part of the leading group. I can't say we're going to Bahrain to win, but we're going there to fight for that goal. »

Although aware of the potential of its new weapon and the talent of its drivers, within the Scuderia, we do not want to get excited, Italian minds are still haunted by the bad memories of the past year.
